How does an online P6 Maths lesson actually work?
Everything runs online, live, at a fixed time: weekdays 8 to 10pm, weekends 9 to 11am, every day of the course window. Twenty students, one class, one tutor, so nobody is in a recorded video course on their own.
The full paper is not done in the lesson. It is released in the portal the night before and your child sits it at home during the day, reading the questions on screen and doing the working by hand on the blank paper posted to you. Only the final answers are typed in, and the portal refuses a submission with a question left blank, naming the one it wants.
Because Primary 6 Maths answers are final values, the marking is deterministic and instant. The second they submit they see the score, every right and wrong answer, and where they sit in the class of 20.
Why sit the full paper before the lesson instead of during it?
A normal tuition lesson spends its first hour finding out what the class does not know. This one starts already knowing. By 8pm every paper is marked, so the two hours go on the questions this class actually got wrong, in the order most of them missed them.
It also means your child meets each paper the way they will meet PSLE: unhurried, alone, on paper, with nobody to prompt them. The crash quiz in class then tests the same topics under time, which is the second of the two readings you get each day.
The two hours split three ways. Thirty minutes on a timed crash quiz on the day's topics, which marks itself when the timer stops. Twenty-five going through only the questions this class got wrong, in the order most of them missed them. Then sixty-five minutes on the paper itself, worked through together and focused on what the class actually failed at home.
Which papers, and do they cover the MOE syllabus?
Every paper is written for this course, to the MOE 2021 syllabus, and modelled on the school papers your child would otherwise sit. That is not a preference: 2027 is only the second PSLE under the fully rolled-out syllabus, and there are not yet enough aligned P6 papers in existence to fill a course. November covers the P3 to P5 syllabus and ends with a first look at P6; March, June and August are P6 throughout.

What parents ask most about online PSLE Maths tuition in Singapore: the daily workload, the class size, which full papers we use, what a crash course costs, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Is one PSLE Maths paper every single day too much?
Two hours of live class plus a full two-and-a-half-hour paper is about four and a half hours a day. That is a real commitment and it does not suit every child. It suits one who needs volume and pace, in a school holiday where there is actually time for it. If your child is already stretched across four enrichment classes, this is the wrong product and I will say so on the call.
What if my child misses a day of the crash course?
Every lesson is recorded and posted the same night. The paper stays open so it can still be submitted and auto-marked, and the nightly parent report still reaches you. Miss two in a row and I call you rather than let it drift.
My child gives up on Maths quickly. Will a paper a day make it worse?
It can, and that is the honest risk. What usually changes it is speed: the marking comes back in seconds instead of a week later, so a mistake is still fresh enough to fix and the child can see the Achievement Level moving. The report names the topic, never the child. If your child is shutting down rather than sharpening after the first week, I will tell you at the time instead of letting you find out in December.
Is this live online tuition, or pre-recorded videos?
Live on video, every day of the course window. Weekdays 8 to 10pm, weekends 9 to 11am, Singapore time. Every lesson is also recorded and posted the same night, so a missed class is recoverable without it becoming the default.
How many children are in a class? Is it one-to-one tuition?
Twenty per course, one tutor, and that tutor is me for every single lesson, with no rotating roster and no assistants. It is not one-to-one. What stands in for that attention is that I have already read your child's marked paper before the lesson starts, so the two hours go on the questions this class actually got wrong.
What does my child need at home? Do I need a printer?
No printer. A laptop or tablet with a browser and a stable connection is enough. Questions are read in the portal, working is done by hand on paper exactly as it is in the exam hall, and only the final answers are typed in. A quiet table for two hours is the harder requirement.
Do you show my child their rank in the class?
Yes. Score, class average and position out of 20, the moment they submit. Some children are driven by that and some are flattened by it, so tell me on the call and I will switch the position off for your child individually. They will still see the class average.
Whose full papers are these, and are they on the MOE 2021 syllabus?
Top-school Primary 3 to Primary 6 papers, plus an original question bank I write myself. The second part matters. 2027 is the second PSLE under the fully rolled-out MOE 2021 syllabus: Speed is gone, Ratio and Average moved up, and Algebra is new at P6. There are not yet enough P6 papers written under it to fill a course, so the rest are written to the current syllabus rather than borrowed from the one before it.
Do you teach Science, English or Chinese as well?
No. Primary Maths only, P3 to P6. A tutor who teaches one subject properly beats one who teaches four adequately, and the papers, the auto-marking and the diagnosis in your dashboard are all built for Maths.
Which crash course should my child take?
November to December is the P3 to P5 syllabus, for children entering P6, and the last week introduces the P6 topics they meet in Term 1: Algebra, Ratio and Average. Enough to make January a continuation rather than a cold start, not enough to replace it. March, June and the August final push are all P6 and are for children already in P6. They are sold separately and none depends on another, though most families who do November also do August. All 23 P6 Maths topics lists what each one covers.
Why does a crash course cost more per hour than weekly Maths tuition?
Because the compression is the product. Thirty-seven papers inside six holiday weeks changes what a child can do in a way that thirty-seven papers spread across a year does not. The hourly rate is higher and the total number of hours is far smaller. What P6 tuition costs in Singapore sets this against a weekly centre and a private tutor.
Can we join late, or pay for only some of the days?
Joining a few days late is fine and the fee is pro-rated. Dipping in and out is not, because the paper sequence builds deliberately from easier schools to harder ones, and a child who skips the middle stretch hits the hard papers cold.
How do payment and withdrawal work?
There is a call first and a seat is only held after it. Fees, dates and the withdrawal terms go to you in writing before you pay anything. The first 10 seats in each course pay the lower rate, which is the only reason to be early.
What happens if you fall ill? This is one person.
It is, and that is a real risk you are taking on. A lost lesson moves to the next morning or runs from the recording. If I lose more than two days of a course I refund those days at the hourly rate you paid.
