Free P4 Maths exam papers for Singapore P4 pupils
Ten full P4 Maths papers, each a Paper 1 and a Paper 2 in the PSLE format, set at the level of a very hard P4 end-of-year paper. Each one leans on a topic that costs P4 pupils marks, and every one is marked the moment it is handed in.

The report after Paper 2

The score is shown to everyone. The full diagnosis is shown on screen and emailed once a parent gives an email address and mobile number, used only to send the report and follow up about it.

Common questions about the free P4 papers
Are these P4 Maths papers really free?
Yes. Every paper can be sat in full and the score is shown the moment Paper 2 is handed in. A parent can also have the full diagnosis emailed by giving an email address, a mobile number and the child's name and school.
What format are the P4 papers in?
The PSLE format, the shape of the exam a P4 pupil will sit in two years. Paper 1 has 18 multiple choice questions and 12 short answers for 50 marks. Paper 2 has 5 short answers and 10 structured questions of 3 to 5 marks for 50 marks. P4 pupils do not use a calculator, so neither paper allows one.
How hard are the free P4 papers?
Very hard, on purpose: every question is set at the level of the hardest P4 end-of-year papers, with traps in the multiple choice and long questions that need a model or a careful list. Each paper puts 29 of its 100 marks on one topic that P4 pupils often lose marks on.
Do the papers include P5 or P6 topics?
No. Every question is within the 2021 MOE syllabus up to P4, together with time and the 24-hour clock, which is taught in P3 and kept here as revision. Percentage, area of triangles, volume, rate and ratio come later, so they are left out.
How long does a paper take?
In the PSLE format, Paper 1 takes 1 hour 10 minutes and Paper 2 takes 1 hour 20 minutes. Here the papers are untimed, like homework, and answers save as they are typed, so a paper can be finished across a few sittings.
Is there a course for P4?
Not yet. Wei Jie's crash courses start in the November before P6, the year of the PSLE. Until then, the free P5 papers are the next step up, and questions are welcome on WhatsApp.
