Terms of use

The rules for using AL1 Top Online Tuition's website, free accounts, papers and forum, and for buying papers, plans and classes.

Last updated 15 October 2026

In short
  • One account is for one child. A parent or guardian creates it, and it is signed in on one device at a time.
  • The papers, methods and reports are for your child's own practice. Please don't copy or share them.
  • Scores and AL bands are a guide, not a PSLE prediction.
  • On the forum, be kind and leave out anything that could identify a child.
  • Everything sold is paid once, by PayNow. Nothing renews by itself. Refunds are in section 8.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to everyone who uses al1toponlinetuition.yumeevent.com, which AL1 Top Online Tuition runs. AL1 Top Online Tuition is run by Yume Ventures Pte Ltd (UEN 202605625Z). In these terms, "we" and "us" mean AL1 Top Online Tuition.

By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you create an account for a child, you are responsible for how it is used, including by the child.

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

2. Accounts

  • An account is for one child. The child's parent or legal guardian creates it and gives the consent for it.
  • Each account has its own email address, which can be the parent's or the child's. An email can have only one account, so for a second child, create a second account with a different email.
  • Don't share an account between children. An account is signed in on one device at a time: signing in on another device signs the first one out.
  • Sign-in codes are for the account's own use. Don't pass them on, and tell us if you think someone else has used the account.
  • Keep the account's details accurate. You can change them on the account page.
  • You can delete the account at any time from the account page.

3. Papers, marking and reports

  • Our papers are written to the MOE 2021 primary Maths syllabus, and marked the moment they are handed in.
  • Scores, achievement level (AL) bands and reports are a guide to where a child stands. One paper is a snapshot, not a prediction of PSLE results, and we don't promise any result.
  • We work hard to get every question, answer and method right. If you think one is wrong, tell us and we will check it.
  • We are independent. We are not part of, or endorsed by, the Ministry of Education (MOE) or the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB).

4. Using our papers and content

The papers, questions, worked methods, reports, guides and the rest of the site are our work, and we own the copyright in them.

  • You may use them for your child's own practice.
  • Please don't copy, share, sell, publish or post them anywhere else, including in chat groups, on other websites or in other study materials, and don't use them to teach other children.
  • Tutors, tuition centres and schools need our written permission to use them.
  • Don't copy the site by automated means, such as scraping, or use its content to train AI models.

5. The forum

The forum works without an account. The tutor reads every question, reply and edit before it appears.

  • Posts are public. Leave out names, schools, phone numbers, photos and anything else that could identify a child, yours or anyone else's.
  • Be kind and stay on topic. No insults, bullying, hate, advertising or spam.
  • Post only what you have the right to share. Don't post whole papers or other material that isn't yours to share.
  • Editing. You can edit a post for 24 hours from the phone or computer you posted from.

By posting, you let us show your post on the site. We may decline or remove any post.

6. Using the site fairly

Please don't:

  • try to get into accounts or parts of the site that aren't yours, or get around the sign-in, the bot check or the limits
  • overload the site, or use bots or scripts to sit papers, post or copy content
  • pretend to be someone else, or give false details to create an account
  • use the site for anything unlawful

7. If the rules are broken

If an account breaks these terms, we warn you first, by email to the account's address. If it carries on, we may suspend or close the account.

In serious cases, such as attacking the site or abusing other people, we may suspend or close an account at once. If we close an account, we tell you why, and its details are erased as they would be if you had deleted it yourself.

We may also remove forum posts that break the forum's rules.

Nothing can be bought until payments open in the shop. From then, this section applies to everything bought on the site, together with the rest of these terms.

Who sells

Papers, plans, classes and consultations are sold by Yume Ventures Pte Ltd (UEN 202605625Z), which runs AL1 Top Online Tuition.

Prices and offers

  • Prices are in Singapore dollars, as shown in the shop and on our prices page. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is added.
  • You pay the total shown when you make the order. Totals are worked out on our server, not in your browser. If a price or an offer changes before you order, the cart shows the new total first.
  • First 50 students: 40% off a first order, for the first 50 accounts to buy.
  • Year-end offer: 25% off until 31 January 2027, Singapore time.
  • Promo codes: the percentage the code shows, under the code's own limits.
  • Only the biggest of these three applies to an order.
  • Brother or sister: once one child in a linked family has bought something, every other child's orders get an extra 10% off, added to the offer.
  • Offers are for papers and plans. Classes, one-to-one consultations and the review are at their list price.

Paying

  • You pay by PayNow, through HitPay, our payment provider. At checkout you get a PayNow QR code for the exact amount: scan it with your bank's app.
  • An order and its QR code work for 5 minutes. If the time runs out, make a new order from the cart.
  • A PayNow QR code can't be cancelled once it is shown. If you pay with one after its order has run out or been replaced, we still open what you paid for, at the price that order showed.
  • Every payment is a one-off. Nothing renews by itself.
  • Once the payment goes through, we email a receipt to the account's address.

What opens, and when

  • What you buy opens on the account within seconds of the payment going through. It is for the one child whose account bought it, and section 4 applies to it.
  • Topical papers, all topical papers, a full year of weekly papers and complete plans are open until 31 December of the school year they are bought for. From 1 October, that is the next school year, and they open at once.
  • Weekly full papers come out every Monday at 6am, Singapore time. 1 month opens 4 papers and 1 term opens 10, starting with that week's, or from 1 to 6 October with the next school year's first. A full year opens every paper of the school year already out, then one each Monday. Each paper stays open until 31 December of its school year.
  • The weekly papers are the same every year, so a full year of them at a level can be bought only once.

Refunds for papers and plans

  • Weekly full papers and complete plans: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of buying, even if papers have been sat.
  • A topical paper: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of buying and your child hasn't started it.
  • All topical papers: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of buying and your child hasn't started any paper in it. We don't refund part of it.
  • To ask, email [email protected] with the order number. We refund what was paid, through HitPay. Once it is refunded, what it was for closes on the account.
  • A first-50 place used by an order that is refunded is not given back.

Classes and one-to-one consultations

These open after papers and plans, and can't be bought until they do.

  • Booking: you choose one class, and its single session, or its 4 or 10 weekly sessions, are booked and paid for in one go. A consultation is booked for a time you choose, on its own or as the same hour every week for a term of 10. Classes and consultations can be booked up to 8 weeks ahead, until 24 hours before they start.
  • Moving a session: with at least 24 hours' notice, you can move a class session or a consultation from the account page, to another time up to 31 December. With less notice, please message the tutor.
  • Missed sessions: a session that is missed, or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, is not refunded. Nor are unused sessions in a pack.
  • If the tutor cancels a session: we email you, and you can choose another session in the same class, or another time for a consultation, from the account page, or ask for that session's price back.
  • Recordings: if a class is recorded, only the tutor's screen and voice are recorded, and booking asks you to agree to it. Our privacy policy says who can see recordings and for how long.
  • The 30-minute one-to-one review opens later. Its terms will be added here before it does.

9. Changes to the site

We keep improving the site, so its papers and features, including the free paper, may change. We try to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may pause it for maintenance.

10. Our responsibility to you

  • We provide the site, and everything sold on it, with care, but without promises beyond those in these terms.
  • We are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for problems caused by your device, your connection or your email provider, such as a sign-in code landing in a spam folder.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we email account holders before it applies. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree to them, you can delete the account.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore deal with any dispute about them. Before that, please tell us about the problem, so that we can try to put it right.
