Free PSLE Maths paper: Ratio
A full Paper 1 and Paper 2 at P6 prelim level, in the 2026 SEAB format, for Singapore P6 pupils. 29 of the 100 marks are on ratio; the rest cover the other PSLE topics, as a real paper does.

Timing is up to you. Sit it in one go against the SEAB times for exam practice, or spread it over a few evenings as class homework is.
Where the marks go in ratio
Ratio is new at P6 under the 2021 syllabus, and PSLE sets it as before-and-after: one quantity changes, the other stays, and the ratio moves. The unchanged quantity is the key, and it is rarely named.
The mistakes this paper looks for
- Adding units from two ratios before making the shared part the same
- Keeping the wrong quantity fixed in a before-and-after problem
- Giving the number of units instead of the amount

Paper 1, Question 12 (2 marks). The ratio of red beads to blue beads in a box is 5 : 7. After 9 blue beads are added, the ratio becomes 5 : 8. How many red beads are there?
